Ronald McDonald House at Childrens Hospital Fresno

Several times a year for about 20 years here in the mountains, we delivered bags of Pop tops to the Ronald MacDonald House in Fresno..  This last baggy full was about 4 lbs.

Friends and families quietly pop the tops off and donated them thru our P.E.O. GZ Chapter. I was helping a friend in Orange Co do the same for many years before moving up here.

Last week when we made the delivery of 4 lbs. of pop tops, I was shocked to hear that they are no longer collecting tops.  Reason, before they were given $1.00 in credit and the company matched the amount. This last batch valued at .25 cents a lbs. and the company could not longer match the amount.

There are many ways to donate and help our Children's Hospitals and Ronald McDonald House. But this one simple way has been completed as of April 1,, not an April Fool's Joke.  just sad.
