Gillette Wyo., Off to Sturgis, South Dakota

We had planned to visit the Quilt Store in Gillette, but we need to keep going and arrived at this town late, and we left before the store opens... oh, darn.  but look at the beautiful weather we have, blue skies and the open roads. On to Sturgis, South Dakota.
The last time we were in Sturgis, South Dakota it was during the  Motorcycle Rally. For those of you that might not know about this, it is the most important place to gather all motorcycle enthusiasts. We inched our way thru town that time. Every type of motorcycle was displayed, ridden, polished etc.  If a rider can not spend the time riding cross country, they fly, and ship their motorcycle, to a town close by, then they ride into town to participate.  I have spoken with friends that said it is the "test" maybe to have ridden to Sturgis.  No, place to stay for 200 miles around. But did see some amazing rigs, campers or just people riding what seemed like a long way to attend. I spoke with a friend that rode from Calif. to Sturgis on his motorcycle. I had to ask was it worth it?  Oh, yes he said, it was great!
