Tarantula Festival, always in Oct.

This year I am in town for the Tarantula Festival, and  guess I got there too early to see the contests with live fuzzy spiders.  However, we had lots of venders..  The mountain area is full of talented artists, and authors..  I met Tammy Simpson, wife, mother, gardener, and author. This tarantula is carved from wood, another one of our local artisans.
I wandered around chatting with friends and neighbors.. Fun beautiful day in the mountain area..  And we have only seen one tarantula at our house so far this Oct.
