As most of you know we live in the rolling hills, on the way to Yosemite National Park. Neither Oakhurst or Coarsegold are much to look at when driving thru, but we have some hidden treasures.
The Golden Chain Theater being one of them.. It is located just above Oakhurst. Guess I should have looked up some details to give you history about the theater, but I didn't. The Theater has been known for it's Melodramas, Can Can dancing and generally fun entertainment, pop corn, hot dogs, sodas, and drinks etc.
They are changing their venue a bit now, offering some more serious plays, and musicals. They are also offering Season Tickets. Ralph and I went with my P.E.O. Chapter, to the last Sunday afternoon, of the Odd Couple, the Female Version, By Neil Simon. It was very funny and enjoyed the afternoon, in the cool theater.
Our Chapter is also planning to see Fiddler on the Roof in November 7.
