Leaving Sisters,views, Shaniko, Ghost town?

The landscape is amazing, we are so blessed to have this wonderful weather.
I always find it interesting what is used on the ranches.  There are miles of open land, some of it plowed and planted. But this area was very rocky..  They put heavy, I think pig fencing in a circle and loaded it with what looked like volcanic rock, that way attaching the gates ensuring that they stayed straight. I think it would be very difficult to dig a hole in this land.  Do you think they will miss a small piece?  Have a friend that collects rocks, maybe just one? Our car is smaller, so can not collect too many rocks. Hwy 97, just in case you are in the area.

We saw this grouping of buildings and decided to explore Shaniko. Oregon.

Interesting Street, Check this out next time you are in this area. No quilt stores in this town. But such fun to explore. More when I can get a good connection.. My photos don't want to transfer tonight. More tomorrow, How we got lost, and how our on "board" gps doesn't like Ralph's or my voice. Don't think we could get lost, will tell all about that, and  about the perfect chair for the husband that waits for a fabric shopping wife.. Next installment soon.
