Chamberlain, Rest Stop South Dakota

Some of the rest stops have wonderful displays of art, and history. Chamberlain is one of these, that felt like a museum.
There is so much history in this area. The hills with the amazing vistas, the green valleys. And then one is reminded about the difficult life in settling this country.

To  have lived here thru the heat and the snow, lack of food and medicine. These were the pioneers that should not be forgotten. And I am not just speaking of the white man, but of the Indians as well.
It had to be so difficult for anyone that starts any new episode in their life. But to stare nature in the face and win any battle over nature. These had to be very strong, driven people.
Beauty of nature. This is how we learn, by seeing and hearing. This rest stop is just full of interesting exhibits.
