We had the car checked out in the morning in Newton. Iowa, The man at the GMC dealer said, that the button for changing the dash lights is right near the steering wheel on the left. And probably it was getting accidentally touched. Well, my love with Italian hands had to concentrate on hanging on to the wheel and just drive.. Never happened again. This is a new car for us, with all the buttons, gadgets and lots of switches. Thankfully, it was nothing more that a little advise on what not to touch on the car.
We had plans for stopping at quilt stores that are on the farms, had some listings. But sadly, quilt stores on farms are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Such a disappointment. Guess we will just have to drive this way again some day.
Before taking the trip, we went to Auto Club and stocked up on maps for each State, including the travel books, and two U.S.A. state maps. But I like the over all view. Add to this the use of computers and I phones. We have everything at our fingers tips. We decided to take a jog South so that we did not have an issue with driving near Chicago. Thankfully, later we heard there was an issue with the highway going East and West.
Ralph has AT & T and I have Verizon, This is because where we live one can be better than the other. However, Verizon is holding strong on the trip.
